LASEK Eye Surgery at Park Avenue Laser Vision

By admin | February 25, 2012

NOT FOR THE WEAK! Or if you have a thing about eyes…. I went in for LASEK (not LASIK) surgery on April 30th, 2010 with an extremely high prescription and astigmatism. It was performed by Dr. Emil Chynn at Park Avenue Laser Vision in NY, NY and he did an amazing job! 3 months later, I have 20/20 vision and it keeps getting better! Feel free to ask me or the folks a PALV any questions :)

@gurabitybul It gave me 20/20 vision but I suppose it’s dependent on your own vision.

does laser surgery gives you 20/20 vision?

@lightstarangel Thanks for getting back to me. I was able to get LASIK and this is my first day of recovery and I’m already comfortable enough to sit i front of a computer (dimmed, that is) and I’m wowed by how clearly I can see already. Thanks for sharing :)

@arilovegillesforever I don’t drive so I couldn’t tell you that really – but I was able to go to work and walk around etc after 5 days (3 recovery, 2 to give my vision a chance to improve). It didn’t actually hurt at all – it was just a bit dry so I kept my eyes shut most of the time for the first 3 days.

What was recovery like? how long did it take before you could drive? How long was it before it stopped hurting?

No pain – just a bit of dryness but I didn’t feel a thing!

    Nope, no cutting or suctioning!

Wow! So this didn’t invole any suctioning the eye or cutting unlike LASIK?

My prescription was pretty awful and I was near-sighted- around 8.50 in one eye, 6.50 in the other with astigmatism. Yes, at the end, they put a bandage contact on the eye to protect it as the epithelium heals.

What was your prescription? Were you near sighted or far sighted? I noticed that it looks as though they put a contact on your eye at the end – is that what they were doing?

Final Destination is the worst movie. They don’t make the effects real to the audience. and Story line is always off topic.

Love The slipcover, but really liked the dvd/regular blu-ray cover. I of course bought the one with the slip though.

Shit…xD Thanks anyway…I see the BluRay version

  32. FilmFanPete Says:
    February 25th, 2012 at 9:42 pm

@BlueCubeproduction Oh no I don’t believe they are releasing that kind of 3D release this time at all. The 3D version will be an active 3D issue, where you have to have the equipment to watch it properly. I believe they released Final Destination 3D with those glasses awhile back, but not this time. :(

  33. BlueCubeproduction Says:
    February 25th, 2012 at 9:50 pm

@FilmFanPete Then the BluRay version with 3D glasses of paper inside isn’t fantasy?!?!

  34. FilmFanPete Says:
    February 25th, 2012 at 10:29 pm

@BlueCubeproduction I’m not sure what the 3D version will look like on the inside, I know it has a lenticular slip cover of this same artwork with the skull though. :)

  35. BlueCubeproduction Says:
    February 25th, 2012 at 11:19 pm

Version will be released in 3D red-cyan?

@FilmFanPete OMG, you’re talking to me… Did you watch it?
